A soldier's endorsement of McCain.

Hi everyone. I hope you will watch this video. I agree with this soldier's evaluation of the situation in Iraq. I've been there myself, and worked almost daily with the local Iraqi people. While I was there, three soldiers were killed while driving down the road on the base where I lived when a rocket hit their truck, and a fourth soldier was left in a coma with no eyes, no feet, and severe burns over the vast majority of his body. I don't know if he survived or if death was merciful to him. These soldiers were all in my Chaplain's unit, and he spoke highly of them at their memorial service and at other times as well. I believe that these men were all heros. They didn't save anyone's life, they didn't do anything super dramatic, but the sacrifice that they made as they left their families to fight in another nation for someone else's right to the pursuit of happiness, is truly noble and praiseworthy. I believe that John McCain understands this sacrifice much better than does Senator Obama. The struggle in which we find ourselves today is truly one of good versus evil. Mistakes have been made, to be sure. However, as we learn from these mistakes, we become better, and continue to fight to allow others the right to learn as well.

Good stuff and I totally agree with what this soldier said. I don't totally agree with everything McCain does, but he is a MUCH better choice than Obama.

On a lighter note, while I was watching this, Ella asked if that was grandpa when McCain's picture came up. I laughed so hard. They do kind of look alike.
